More from Coelho

A wise man arrived in a village called Akbar but people didn't give him much importance. Apart from a small young group, the wise man couldn't be of anyone else's interest; in contrary, he became the reason of irony for the villagers. One day he was taking a walk with his disciples through the main street, when a group of men and women started insulting him. The wise man approached them and blessed them. As he walked out from there, one of the disciples commented: "They said terrible things, and you responded with beautiful words". The wise man responded: "One can only offer what he has".

This passage was adapted from an article written recently by Paulo Coelho in a magazine. It reminded me that the best way to react to any kind of aggression or disrespect is to do exactly the opposite. In fact it's contraditory to complain or disgard others attitudes if we react to them in the same way. So let's remember to use our strongest weapon when facing a hard situation... our heart!

Wish you a sweet weekend! ;o)

True. Being positive doesn't seem to be the most difficult task but it requires a good amount of self control and observation. Confronting negative behaviour with the same can only lead to conflict and I feel it happening every now and then in my day to day life.

On a work-wise front.. The tendency to put forth opinions for every tiny argument that comes across often causes useless over-clocking of brain. Instead I am tending more towards saying things like 'Yes I agree'.. 'Good idea' as long as things adhere to the overall intent. I think this helps to keep work on track and gets things done.

Again, not very complicated.

Good work Tathiana.

Hi Tathiana! hru?

this post is soo true, i was thinking few days ago that if you replace hate towards someone with love (which is stronger energy), I realized that One cannont hate anyone for whom they have love in their heart!

Yeah in this time we need to replace hate feelings with love for others around the world

Thanks!

Thanks a lot for the comments!:o)

I think we all face this kind of situations in our lives. It is not that difficult to deal with it but it does require some attention and self control, as hd said.

Love is the most beautiful sentiment that we can give to the world. Definitely. Good words, Krystyna and Yazi. ;o)
